FB Filter Privacy Policy for Microsoft Edge

Last updated: July 24, 2026

FB Filter for Microsoft Edge does not collect, transmit, sell, or share user data with the developer or third parties.

The extension works locally in Microsoft Edge. It does not require a Squeevio account and does not connect to a Squeevio backend.

Data processed locally in Microsoft Edge

FB Filter may process the following data locally:

Storage and user control

Settings are stored using the Microsoft Edge extension storage API, chrome.storage.sync.

If Microsoft Edge synchronization is enabled, Microsoft may synchronize these settings through the user's Microsoft account. The extension developer does not receive this data.

Users can remove saved data by restoring defaults in FB Filter, removing the extension from Microsoft Edge, or clearing extension data in Microsoft Edge settings.

Network transmission

FB Filter does not transmit Facebook content, profile links, settings, quotes, or browsing activity to the developer or third parties.

Remote code, ads, and analytics

The extension does not load or execute remote code and does not include analytics, trackers, advertisements, or affiliate functionality.

Microsoft Edge permissions

storage saves the user's filtering settings.

activeTab is used after the user opens the extension popup to read the current Facebook profile name and navigate that active tab to the selected focus destination.

Host permissions for Facebook and Messenger allow the extension to hide selected page elements locally.
