FB Filter Privacy Policy

FB Filter does not collect, transmit, sell, or share user data with the developer or third parties.

FB Filter is part of the Squeevio project, which includes lightweight focus tools and standalone apps. This extension does not require a Squeevio account, does not connect to a Squeevio backend, and works locally in the browser.

Data processed locally

The extension may process the following data locally in the user's browser:

• extension settings,
• favorite profile links added by the user,
• custom hero quotes added by the user,
• visible Facebook page headings and markup used locally to decide which areas to hide.

Storage

Settings are stored using chrome.storage.sync or browser.storage.sync.

Depending on the user's browser sync settings, browser-managed synchronization may copy these settings through the user's browser account. The extension developer does not receive this data.

Network transmission

The extension does not transmit user data to external servers.

Remote code

The extension does not load or execute remote code.

Ads and analytics

The extension does not include ads, analytics, trackers, or affiliate functionality.

Permissions

storage is required to save the user's filtering settings.

activeTab is used after the user opens the popup to read the current Facebook profile name and navigate that active tab to the selected focus destination.

Host permissions for Facebook and Messenger are required to run the content script on Facebook and Messenger pages and hide selected page elements locally.
